Metagardens & Mazes

Metagardens & Mazes is a collection of imaginary gardens that melds together my own internal contemplative states (mental landscapes), 17th century garden plans, and biomorphous objects at various scales. The garden becomes a conceptual, “much-winding” labyrinth that contains a recess within a recess, chamber within a chamber, and a maze - coalescence and bifurcation of paths, turns, and scales. It maps out a symbolic relationship between gardens as external public and internal private spaces - metagardens representing natural order, utopia, and an artificial geological body in the making.
